Suminagashi, meaning 'floating ink, is a traditional Japanese marbling art where Sumi ink is delicately dropped onto water and swirled to create intricate patterns, which are then transferred to paper.
It is said to have begun over 1,200 years ago in Kyoto, when nobles found beauty in the flow of water. Though the days are hot, we invite you to experience this elegant and refreshing art.
